Hello from Cedar

1st March!  As I write so often, time is flying by!

Earlier this week you will have received your child's class learning letter for this half-term.  All learning letters can also be found on our website at Class Learning Letters - The Cedar School.  We hope that you find your child's letter helpful.

I want to welcome Helena Bolt who has joined our SSA team in Blue Class this half-term.  Helena is well-known by the children from her previous work as a member of the lunch time and targeted support teams.  We hope that you will enjoy your new role, Helena!

I am sharing a message below from Amanda Thorne, our Computing Leader in school, about an exciting learning workshop which we have coming up for parents/carers soon:

On Tuesday 19th March between 9.30 and 10.30, we shall be hosting an informal Computing and Technology learning workshop here in school. There will be an opportunity for you to see the Computing Assessment document used by many of our learners, browse through various resources and of course share some refreshments together.

Finally, as promised last week, I have listed a number of key dates for the rest of this school year below.  I hope that knowing these key dates in advance will be helpful for you.  There will be more specific letters about a number of these events (e.g. Year 11 Leavers' events) which will be issued soon to families whose children are directly involved in the events.
