Hello from Cedar Weekly Emails
Hello from Cedar
Earlier this week you will have received your child's class Learning Letter for this half-term. This letter gives details about what your child is learning and ways in which this learning might be developed out of school. Thank you for your wonderful support. All of the Learning Letters are also on our website at Class Learning Letters - The Cedar School.
This week many of our wonderful Year 11 students have been sitting their exams. These exams, which include ‘Entry Level’ papers, are national tests which lots of children take across the country. We are all very proud of the positive attitudes with which our Year 11 students have approached these important assessments. One of the pupils who had just taken a test said to me, ‘I have tried my best. I will be a bit worried until I know how I have done but I am confident that I have prepared as best as I could’. We are very proud of our Year 11s who have been supported so well by Emily, Angie, Skye, Linda, Hayley and team ahead of these important assessments.
Just a reminder that, on Sunday 19th May, the Romsey Relay Marathon is taking place. Along with a team of colleagues from Aviva, Ally Antell (whose son, Andrew, is a pupil here at Cedar), will be running the marathon to raise money for The Cedar School. They have set up a fundraising page which tells more about the Antell family's personal reasons for entering this event. The link to the fundraising page is https://samantell. muchloved.com/Fundraising/ Events/679555591 and Ally and the Aviva team thank you for any donations made. Huge thanks from everyone at Cedar to Ally and his Aviva colleagues; we send you strength for the run.
With our best wishes for the weekend!
Neil, Cesia and the whole Cedar Team
