Hello from Cedar Weekly Emails

Hello from Cedar

We hope that this week is treating you well.

Year 11 Leavers
We had a very special 'Leavers' Day' in school yesterday when we celebrated our amazing Year 11 pupils ahead of them moving on from Cedar at the end of this term.  Thank you to our Year 11 families for all of your support in making it such a memorable day!

We are looking forward to welcoming families of our wonderful Year 11 children to our Leavers' Assembly at 1.45pm next Friday (19th July).

The Children Are Bringing Their Reports Home Today
Today your child is bringing home their school report, their ‘Cedar Celebrates’ tree and their attendance record for 2023-2024.  Please look out for the envelope containing all of this information in your child's bag!  I have written a letter giving full details about the reports which is also in the envelope.

Class Transition
We are all very proud of the children for the calm and mature way in which they spent a second morning in their new classes on Tuesday.  Hopefully our transition sessions have helped to calm any potential anxieties ahead of September.  It is exciting for the children to know the other children and staff who will be working with them next year and to be familiar with their classroom for September.

End Of This Term ... and ... Start Of Next Term
It is hard to believe but next Friday (19th July) will be the last day of the Summer Term.  The children will then have their Summer Holidays.  The first day of the Autumn Term for the children here at Cedar will be Wednesday 4th September when the children will return at the usual time.  I know that I have already sent it but I have attached the school calendar for 2024-2025 again to this email for your information.

We wish you all a restful weekend ahead of the last week of this school year at Cedar!

Take care,
Neil, Cesia and the whole Cedar Team
