Hello from Cedar Weekly Emails
Hello from Cedar
This week in school we have been thinking about Remembrance and the reason why many people choose to buy and wear poppies at this time of year. Today, at 11am, we will hold a minute's silence and reflect on the courage and bravery shown by so many people in wars both past and, sadly, present. The children have shown huge respect and compassion; they truly are a credit to you.
You will recall that a few weeks ago we welcomed Luke Delahunty to Cedar. Luke has competed in the Invictus Games and he organised an afternoon of sporting activities for the children. Thanks to your amazing generosity a total of £537 was raised in sponsorship money which will enable us to buy sporting equipment for the children. HUGE THANKS to everyone for your incredible support! My thanks, again, to Ryan for organising this whole event.
This week we have welcomed Hayley Gage as a part time SSA and lunch time supervisor at school. Hayley will be working as an SSA in Red Class on Thursdays and Fridays. A warm Cedar welcome to you, Hayley!
Wishing you all a lovely weekend. Let's hope that there are some dry spells after a week of heavy showers!
Take good care,
Neil, Cesia and the whole team at Cedar
