Hello from Cedar Weekly Emails

Hello from Cedar

We hope that your week has been a calm one.

School Improvement Partner
Every school is required to have an annual external review of its work by a School Improvement Partner.  Yesterday we welcomed our School Improvement Partner - Sarah - for the day.  Sarah made a really lovely comment about our Cedar children which I want to share with you all:

"The children at Cedar are glorious! They are so proud of their school and have high aspirations for themselves."

Thank you from us all to our amazing Cedar children for being so brilliant!

Absence Requests
I want to thank you very much for the way that you keep us informed about any planned absence for your child.  This is very important.

Just a reminder that, if you know, in advance, that your child is going to be absent - for example to attend an appointment - you must complete a 'Request For Exceptional Absence' form.  Paper copies can be obtained from the school office; the forms are also available electronically at Attendance and Absence in Term Time - The Cedar School.

Forms need to be submitted before your child's absence whenever possible.

Please be assured that we will always authorise time to attend a medical appointment but this paperwork is important.

Very many thanks for your support with this and please do contact Amy Clune in the school office if you ever need advice/guidance when filling in one of these request forms.

We all send you best wishes for the weekend.  Take care,
Neil, Cesia and the whole Cedar Team
