Hello from Cedar Weekly Emails
Hello from Cedar
Today, after a busy six weeks, we break up for the half-term holiday.
After the break, school will re-open on Monday 24th February at the usual time.
Safer Internet Day
Tuesday was 'Safer Internet Day'. 'Safer Internet Day' is a national initiative which provides another important occasion to remind both ourselves and children about the importance of eSafety. Across the week - and indeed across this half-term - we have had assemblies and lessons built around the theme of using the internet responsibly. However, it is not just about one day or one subject—we all share the responsibility of helping children to navigate the online world safely all of the time.
Creative Arts Day - Tuesday 25th February
You will have received Cesia's email about this day. You are all invited to join us at 1pm to start the afternoon session. No skill needed! Please dress for mess (you and your children) and join us for lots of art-based fun!
World Book Day - Friday 7th March
Just a heads up that we will be marking World Book Day on Friday 7th March. The official day is earlier that week but we thought that a Friday would be a good day to mark this event in our school. Look out for a letter with more details after the holiday!
Cedar Summer Fair - Saturday 28th June
I know that it is a long time ahead ... but our amazing Fundraising Committee has set a date for this year's Cedar Summer Fair. The fair will be held on Saturday 28th June between 11am and 2pm. Further details will follow nearer the time and we very much hope that the weather will be on our side this year !
We thought that it might be helpful for you to have the date at this stage! Everyone is invited!
My huge thanks to our hard-working and committed Fundraising Committee for all of their hard work in arranging this event ... and for everything that they do for our Cedar children.
The whole Cedar team wishes the children and you an enjoyable half-term week.
See you again on the 24th!
Neil, Cesia and the whole Cedar Team
